oN tO tHE nEXT HOuSe!!

SO a few posts back I was telling you about a home that Nathan and I had found that was perfect in every way for us besides the fact that it didnt have a basement or garage lol but the inside was beautiful.( so pretty much it was perfect for me more than Natahn because he really needed a garage considering what he does for a living right? YES)  It has been about a week since we did our first walk through and loved it. And NOW its a no go, and its disappointing but I guess meant to be this way, because I beleive everything happens for a  reason so I guess this house was not meant for us. BUT I am still disapointed and anxcious to continue the search for the perfect first house for two!!! :)
Anyways I just wanted to update everyone that our search continues and one day when its meant to be we will find our perfect home. But for now its ON TO THE NEXT. :)

Meet our Babies.
                                                                    bUddY
Nathan & I have two dogs. BUddY to the right is a Shephard mix and about 6 years old. Nathan bought him a couple years before we met but Buddy loves me just as much. He will follow me and Nathan around the house its almost annoying but you gotta love it. He has so much PERSONAILTY and is very SMART. Although I think he is secretly jealous of Sadie because she is a girl and lets face it girls just get more attention.   sAdie
Meet sAdiE, in the picture to the left.  She is obviously a Beagle and is about 4 1/2 years old. Nathan bought her for me about 3 months into our relationship because I HAD TO HAVE HER! :)This is my baby intangled in my legs which is where she usually is at night. She is a cuddler which I LOVE. Every morning the first thing she does when she gets out of her bed is come and find mommy. I can hear her running down the hall squeaking HE-HE.

wE LOVE oUr pUpS & I DoNT knOW WhAT wE wOuLd DO wIThOUt.

Nathan & I took a trip to the Louisville Zoo on Sunday May 22nd. We had never been to the zoo together in the four years we have been together so we thought it was about time.
We had so much fun together, and to see all the animals was amazing.  I took over 100 Pictures but I will only post my favorites for you to see. My two favorite animals are definitly the elephant and giraff. I could stand and watch them for hours they are such interesting animals.
I have to tell a funny story though, so here it goes. The first exhibit we came to were these "ghost monkey" type animals. But we didnt look at the sign very closely and just started walking around the exhibit like little kids trying to get the attention of the animal so I could get a cool pic of course ;). And I am asking Nathan what is the name of the animal do you know? And this is where it gets hilarious. He replys I think they are called ZOOKEYS!! I am like ok, where did you see that? So we walk back around to the sign to check out if he is right because I am like HUH? So we get to the sign and I begin reading "ghost monkey... where do you see zookeys?" and I look at the other sign which says zookeys, which is talking about actual ZOO KEYS!!

The FAMOUS "ZOO KEYS" :)

My Favorite Monkey pic EVER!
So to say the least it was an interesting day at the Louisville Zoo.
Cant wait for the next "Adventure of Nathan & Jenna." :)
Love you boo!

There always comes a day when its time for the parents to meet, Our time was supposed to be this weekend. Most people may say that it is very nerve racking for their parents to finally meet, but for me and Nathan we are not nervous at all. Our families are similar but also very different in the way we work & play. Although, Nathan and I both grew up in good homes and our parents are both still together which is rare these days, so we both consider ourselves very lucky to have awesome, supportive parents as we become one big happy family.
I have always invisioned the parents finally meeting of course who doesnt at this stage in a relationship, and I have always been sure that it would go perfectly. There is an age difference of about 10 years but besides that my parents are very outgoing hints why I am this way :) and Nathans parents are very down to earth as well . Our dads have so much in common (they just dont know it yet), while our moms are both very sweet and easy to talk too. So to say the least I am looking forward to our "Meet the Parents" dinner this weekend. There are no worries on my mind I just keep calm & Carry on. :)
One of my best friends told me today," if your nervous before dinner just have a stiff one before you leave".
he-he :) thanks Lauren.

So we had to reschedule the meeting of the parents this weekend because Nathans Grandmother got sick, so of course that is most important for Nathan parents to get her to the hospital and in good care. We went to visit her this weekend, yesterday actually. She has a burst ear drum OUCH. But she should hopfully be out in a few days. SO my prayers are with her that she heals and is out of the hospital in no time!! :)

Wedding planning has been so much fun for me, I'll admit that at first it was very stressful just trying to figure out my budget because lets face it weddings are expensive & have you seen my taste?? SO after we finally got that figured out and increased now the 3rd time I am proud to say that I now have everything big booked, photographer, baker, venues, dj, catering, dress, flowers which Im am so happy its a relief to have all of that done with 5 months to spare. Although, I do need to still get save the dates made, as well as the invitations, get the gifts for the bridal party as well as the guests, my shoes and jewels so really there are still alot of things to be done!!! Which I love details so these parts will be so much fun!
I am strill so shocked at what has been the hardest part for me, which is the cake design. I still am not sure of the design but I do have the Bakery booked so no worriest there she told me I had up to a month before to finalize details. But I love to plan so this has been so much for me to do, I was involved with my brothers wedding a couple years ago and just couldnt wait to plan mine. I am very much looking forward to all the bridal showers and the bachelorette party, but mostly get married to my best friend! We are still in the process of figuring out where we want to go for our honeymoon so thats the next big thing to book. Our big day will be so special for both Nathan and I as well as our families, for one outstanding reason, Nathans dad is going to marry us!!! This is going to be an amazing moment and Im so happy that Nathans dad agreed to do this for us. It's not everyday this happens right?!

tHe AdENtURes Of HoUSe hUntInG..

Nathan and I are offically on the market for a new home to call ours. We have been looking alot the past month once I was pre-approved. But it hasnt come easy, its actually been a huge learning experience for the both of us. We have learned that we need to bring our parents to check out the house in more detail then just us getting overwhelmed with excitment of the idea of a house and actually looking at the structure etc.
Here is how our adventure has played out so far: we made our FIRST offer on a cute little cottage and the owners just would not budge on the price so we moved on lol. The SECOND house we made our BIGGEST mistake on by putting an offer in and of course they accepted it but we got out of that very quickly because it was a mess although the mess was covered quite nicely. NOW we are very EXCITED because we have found a precious home located right next door to Jared and Annie (YAY) and the kids (which are Nathans Brother and sister-in-law and my soon to be's) we would love to be there neighbors and I think they would agree that it would be a lot of fun to live next door. :) So we are in the process of figuring things out with the owner and very excited and hopful that this will work out to be our first place to call HOME! :) I will follow up with a post whenever anything big happens along the process and if we buy there will be pics and all to be shown! Very exciting part of our life, and we are both very much ready to be first time homeowners!!

Happy Engagement!!

This is me right after he proposed! :)

Nathan & I got engaged May 10,2010 on Hilton Head Island! We had eaten at  the most fabulous Mexican resturant (ok I know you didnt expect to hear Mexican after the words "most fabulous" but if you know Nathan and I we LOVE LOVE MEXICAN FOOD!!) in Hiton Head that night and came back to the hotel to have a drink at the tiki hut on the beach, which is when he took me out under the stars and dropped to his knee. I honestly didnt believe him,it was so dark, until he took out his flash light and I was blinded by the bling! :) (looking back I remember thinking why did he freak out when we couldnt find the flash light that night LOL) Because if you know Nathan he can't find ANYTHING, and I can find EVERYTHING!So of course I saved our moment by finding the flash light for him HAHA. To be honest I cant believe I didnt know that it was coming, he was that good at hiding this from me.  Im saying this because we have this weird connection that even when we really try to surprise each other with great gifts etc, the other will almot always say I knew you were getting me that, what can I say we know each other so well. But the reason why ( I have to find a reason right?) I had no idea is because he bought the ring the night before we left to drive  to Hilton Head so he didnt have to keep it a secret that long. :) Anyways, so we have been happily engaged for a little over a year now, and our wedding is less then 6 months away!!! OCTOBER 22, 2011, SAVE THE DATE!!!

Meet Nathan

Nathan and I met back in late Feburary of 2007, and we have been inseparable ever since. He proposed in Hilton Head last May, which was a complete surprise on the beach under the stars. We moved in together soon after and  have been planning our wedding for October of this year ever since.  Nathan is my best friend and my love for always & forever. We are very excited about our future together. Here we are at the Kentucky Oaks this year, my first ever time at the track during Derby week and it was amazing!
